Welcome

Historic Friedens Church is located in the beautiful farmland of Geronimo, Texas. Friedens Church has faithfully served the Geronimo, Seguin, New Braunfels, and San Marcos communities of Texas since 1896. The church was founded deep in the heart of Texas by German pioneers who settled the land as farmers and ranchers.

Friedens means "Peace" in the German language, and the Peace of Christ is at the heart of our life and faith.

Today you will find both a traditional and contemporary community of faith comprised of the diverse culture of South Central Texas. Our families live on the farms and ranches of historic Geronimo, and in the new neighborhoods of the growing metropolitan areas between San Antonio and Austin.

  • Friedens Faith Factory (Children's Sunday School) Resumes September 8th

    Friedens Faith Factory (Children's Sunday School for Kindergarten- 7th grade) is held each Sunday at 10:00 AM  Children are dismissed with their leaders following the Children's Moment during the worship service . Classes are held in the activities center.  Friedens Faith Factory ends following the worship service.

    For children ages 4 years old through 5th Grade

    All Are Invited!

    Godly Play is held on Sundays at Spirit of Joy from 4:00pm to 5:00pm (September - May). There will be a combined dinner for parents and children at 5pm.

    Making meaning through story, wonder, and play. Godly Play nurtures spiritual lives by honoring the centrality, competency, and capacity of children. Experience it!

    (All teachers have undergone a background check before serving the children.)

  • Bible Study Group Resumes September 8th

    Bible Studies are offered each Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the church. The 10:00 AM study led by Pastor Dave

    Held in the Bormann Conference Room in the Activities Center.

  • Prayer Chain

  • Nursery Available Sunday Mornings

    A nursery is available for children 5 years old and younger. The nursery room is located in the educational building nearest the Sanctuary. Parents may bring their children directly to the nursery before worship at 10:00 a.m., or bring their children to worship and have the children go to the nursery after the Children's message.

  • Church Choir Rehearsal

    The Church Choir rehearses each Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the Choir Room located in the Activities Center. The Choir performs an anthem each Sunday and other worship occasions September- May. Those who enjoy singing are welcome to join the choir
